A volunteer writes:  I fell in love with Smooches the moment we met.  He has the most amazing amber eyes, that make wonderful soft eye contact; he’s a love.  What you notice about Smooches when you first meet him is that he has a cleft palate.  After two minutes with Smooches, I didn’t see it anymore.  What I saw was a warm, super friendly boy, who loved curling up in my lap for some smooches.  Smooches was quiet in his kennel, waiting his turn to go out.  He appears to be housetrained taking care of business as soon as we were outside.  He walks like a dream on the leash, right by my side, keeping pace, responding to my every move.  His coat is in good condition, he is friendly to everyone wagging his tail at everyone we passed.  He posed for his photoshoot like a rock star.  It was freezing cold so we didn’t spend a lot of time outside, but Smooches is a gem, a love, an outstanding boy.  He is waiting for his forever family to find him.  He will make the most wonderful companion; don’t pass him up.

This dog is located at the Manhattan AC&C (326 E 110th Street, NYC 10029). Please act quickly and GO DIRECTLY TO THE SHELTER to adopt (open 7 days per week from 8AM-7PM, adoptions opens at noon).
