Free Fix for Pits in Hotlanta, GA

In honor of National Spay/Neuter Awareness month, owners of pits around the Hotlanta region are welcomed (and encouraged) to have their babies altered for free at LifeLine Animal Project’s Spay & Neuter Clinics during the month of February.

If you do not live in the region, fear not! Check your local humane society for all spay/neuter events surely to be occuring during the month of February and specifically on World Spay Day which takes place on February 28th.

Not sure if or why you should spay or neuter your animal?

  1. 6-8 millions of animals enter shelters every year.
  2. Half of those animals are NOT adopted and as a result are terminated.
  3. Pitbulls and their mixes generally move to the front of the line of animals to be terminated.
  4. Doing so saves lives.
  5. Not doing so sentences animals to certain death.

Share, cross share, re-share…and then do it again! Let’s save lives, people!!!

Meet EVELYNE!!! ID# 0922583

8 months old

35 lbs

A volunteer writes: I am so glad I took Evelyne out for a walk. Evelyne is a gentle puppy, only 8 months of age, exquisite looking although a little bit too thin. Her coat is shiny, healthy, a mix of dark brown and black. Her lovely face is parted with a gush of white hair and inlaid with sparkling eyes giving her at the same time a playful and soft look.  Evelyne is a youngster with great manners. She walks beautifully well and seems very much housetrained. She is quite friendly with all dogs met during our stroll expressing a playful interest in them.  She seems to like kids . Her tail wagged and her body wiggeled when she saw a mob of them coming out of a school. She can sit and stay on command. No doubt about it, Evelyne got some obedience training before to come to the shelter. Evelyne is a small girl with a delicate frame. She is very affectionate and loves to be carried, hugged and kissed. She jumps on the bench  and on my lap for cuddling time. Evelyne is a wonderful puppy who will need only minimal training to make her yours.  She is at the Manhattan Care Center. She truly is the promise of a great adult and companion. Come and meet her, she is waiting for you.

This dog is located at the Manhattan AC&C (326 E 110th Street, NYC 10029). Please act quickly and GO DIRECTLY TO THE SHELTER to adopt (open 7 days per week from 8AM-7PM, adoptions opens at noon). If the dog is on the euthanasia list, you must CALL THE SHELTER to let them know that you are coming (212-722-4939 keep hitting 0 until someone picks up.
