I hate how expensive a good dog bed is.
Even more than that, I hate how boring they are.
It’s an easy $20 spent for a plainly colored square shaped bed and costs extra for a personal touch.
NO WAY! I say.
So I decided this year for Christmas I was going to see if I couldn’t make my own for my girls and guess what? I could.
I went to the fabric store and picked out fabrics that I thought best represented the personalities of my baby girls which were luckily on sale for 50% off (Woot!)
Using their crate bottom as a pattern I cut out my sizes and hand stitched ’em together.
Then conserving more money, I used some of the old towels and blankets (freshly washed) they’ve used as well as stuffing from their old beds I fluffed ’em up and stitched the final bits (which I hope explains why they got their beds waaaay early!! LOL!)
Voila. Dog beds for $6.50.
If you’re interested in size, Analaigh’s bed fits into a large crate and she weighs 70 pounds while Rose’s bed fits into her medium crate and she weighs 50 pounds.
I love how they came out!!
When I first started pasuhcring spanking mags back in the early 1970’s it was a very “under-the-counter” activity and everybody was very secretive … then before the internet came the undernet and I discovered several “groups” mostly from the Bay Area of San Francisco and communicated with them but they were more into hard-core BDSM than my particular interest in ‘Le Vice Anglais’ … then of course came the internet and the glorious hey-day of the MIRC chat-rooms where I made many friends … and now we have the blogs! What I love about the blogosphere is that it shares the wonderful diversity of our individual tastes in the delights of spanking … so Bottoms Up everybody and keep on blogging … RH

That’s awesome! You did a terrific job! That’s the best Christmas present in my opinion — a gift made with love. 🙂
Thanks! I was really happy with them and the girls seem to approve.
Great job! See, I want to make Kyuss a bed, but he’d eat it. =[
That’s some supercute fabric though!
The reason I stopped buying them and decided to make them is because for just $6.50 and a few hours of my time, I don’t mind if they do. My girls will gnaw at them if left to their own devices for too long, as well.
Hey..nathan- as we discussed eialrer- can. You send us the artwork with the white and also the one with the faded white so we wont have to do a white screen, also a reminder to rid 2011 on the artwork and place silent auction directly underneath hospice of limestone county. Thanks- if possible want to shoot that over to her later this evening;)
